His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam then held a bilateral meeting with His Excellency the President of the Republic of Indonesia at Baitul Mesyuarah. During the meeting, both leaders discussed regional and international matters of mutual importance including developments in the implementation of the Five Point Consensus for Myanmar and both leaders expressed concerned on the humanitarian situation in Gaza, following the escalation of violence and the continued blockade of aid. The two leaders also reiterated their countries continued support for an independent and sovereign Palestinian state, based on a two-state solution, based on the pre-1967 borders.
